Buying a property in Portugal was a big decision for us. We knew that there would be many aspects that differed greatly from buying a property in Canada. We needed help, so we looked into getting a buyers’ agent and chose Brint. From our first virtual meeting we were put at ease. They presented us with all the aspects that they cover and answered all of our questions. We went to Portugal to physically view the properties. We had a fantastic agent take us to all of them, she was super helpful and made us comfortable. Once we made our decision; the bargaining process, contract signing etc. was handled with the utmost professionalism and they did an amazing job. They negotiated a great price on the property saving us approximately $50,000 Canadian. There were certain aspects of the buying process that made us uncomfortable, or that we found difficult to understand and these were all readily explained. The process in Portugal is a lot different then what we are used to here in Canada. We were made to feel that we had people on our side, working for our interests and on our behalf. They helped us with opening a NIF, Bank Account, home inspection, inventory of the contents we were purchasing and ownership transfer. We also had assistance with getting the utilities up and running from our agent, which she went above and beyond to help us with our new home. I can’t say enough about how positive an experience this was. Everyone at Brint having a different level of expertise in dealing with all aspects of the purchase process. I was a little skeptical at first and my decision to use them was based off of how transparent they appeared in the youtube comments. They put me at ease along the way with zoom calls to meet the team. I translated and cross-checked all the legal stuff like the letter attorneys and also had Portuguese friends cross-check them. They're all great people and I'm in a Whatsapp group with them, have met them personally and I've successfully managed to get my NIF, NHR, Bank, House and utilities. I'm just waiting on the visa meeting now. They've been super helpful in other matters as well, like registering my car and always answer any question I have, which made it feel like I moved across with knowledgeable friends. The money these guys saved me on the house alone was insane and basically 9% of the property value. They even managed to get some stuff thrown in like repainting of the exterior/interior/pool repainted and the house report even came with suggested fixes along with pricing and how to get those done. They're trustworthy and would highly recommend their services.

Living in Canada and buying a house in Portugal felt so easy only because we found BRINT. They did absolutely everything for us: the NIF, mortgage, bank account, legal, house inspection, ownership transfer, water, electricity and internet. I consider myself not easily trusting people, but can't believe we bought the house without ever meeting them until the final signing date. They are a team of family members who are extremely dedicated to their clients in absolutely doing their very best. Not only they found us a house but also negotiated the price down by €40K and even negotiated the clients car because the client was leaving the country. They even found us a great property management team who takes care of renting out the property when we are not there. If you are buying a property in Portugal then for sure do your own research but you must talk to them at least once to understand why they are different from any other realtors. Me and my wife feel extremely fortunate that we came across them.
